CAPS Senior Scholarship – Class of 2026

 The CAPS Scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior from the Class of 2026 in the Concho Valley. This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic readiness, a commitment to higher education, and meaningful involvement in their communities.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a graduating high school senior (Class of 2026) from a Concho Valley high school.

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

  • Plan to enroll in an accredited college or university for the Fall 2026 semester

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to community service and civic engagement

Application Requirements

To be considered, applicants must submit the following materials:

  1. Transcript

    • High school seniors must upload an unofficial transcript

  2. Letters of Recommendation (Two Required)

    • One academic recommendation from a principal, assistant principal, teacher, or school counselor

    • One personal recommendation from a non-family member who can speak to the applicant’s character and achievements

  3. Professional Headshot

    • Submit a clear, professional-quality photo

    • Photos must not be selfies

    • The image should be taken by another person and reflect appropriate, professional presentation

Applicants must submit a video in which they respond to the following questions:

Why do you believe hope is essential in today’s society, and how has it shaped your personal or academic journey?

How can hope inspire positive change in communities, and what role do you see yourself playing in that change?
